NIGHT MARCHERS tour singles....

i've been meaning to get these records up on here since october..... these are 2 separate tour singles The Night Marchers self released on their Swami Records label.

....just a plain white 45 sleeve with plain white A and B labels that they have stamped with a minimal amount of art and typography. not really a lot to talk about as far as art goes, and i guess that's the point. this is art lead by necessity at its finest. nothing is given except exactly what is needed and the end result comes off tastefully restrained. i love it.

BLACKLISTED limited edition art prints complete!

i just finished printing these limited edition art prints for Blacklisted this past week, here are some pics....

these are 6 color, 18"x24" screen printed posters of the artwork i designed for their new ep titled "Eccentrichine" that will be released on Six Feet Under Records. go to their website to preorder one! they look pretty killer in person! i will post up some pics of the actual record layout as well once i have one in my hands...

RADIO SILENCE book by Nathan Nedorostek & Anthony Pappalardo

finally picked up the Radio Silence book this week while out research shopping for work. haven't had a chance to read thru it yet, but wanted to get this out there anyway. man, this book is IN DEPTH! serious homework was done by Nathan Nedorstek and Anthony Pappalardo in order for them to be able to compile this book, and the end result is nothing shy of completely impressive. have a look at the pics and then swing by their site to order it, you won't be disappointed!

also, urban outfitters has these 2 tees for sale now. the first one is a photo from the supertouch photo shoot for their LP, the other is cool pic of some DC punks. very quality product right here..

CONDOMINIUM ep....

picked up the newest 7" release from the twin cities' CONDOMINIUM.... easily one of the heaviest 2 song 7"s i've ever heard. all of the imagery included in the layout is totally bizarre, which not only adds to the intensity of the music, but also creates a bit of a mystique thru minimalism. who is this band? what is up with these photos? are these the band members in the insert or is it just some random photo obscured? we will never know....

this record has a cut and glued sleeve that i think is just photocopied on the cheapest paper imaginable and then stamped with their name in blue, which doesn't sound all that fantastic but is actually quite awesome. 2 sided photocopied insert with cut and paste liner notes. A and B labels are nothing to look at really but here it is anyway....

COMPLICATIONS ep

first post of 2010! sorry for letting this blog turn into a total ghost town over the holidays, things have been a touch on the crazy side in my personal life and i just haven't been able to make time for this like i wanted to... BUT that is all changing starting now!

i picked up this COMPLICATIONS ep a while ago from vinyl solutions in Huntington Beach and never got around to photographing it. 2 color hand screen printed covers on this 2 song ripper! love the minimal and hand made approach to this layout, and the fact that it actually IS screened! COMPLICATIONS are from France and play a unique style of dirty, raw, and energetic punk that somewhat crosses the line into a bit of a garage sound. pick up a copy if you come across it!
