i recently completed a new zine based on the artwork i made while traveling through Japan this past summer.  these are staple bound full color digital xerox books with hand written white ink on black paper for a cover. made in an edition of 50 and up for sale now in my store...

Strange Obsessions Art Opening...

some of you may have noticed that this blog has been a ghost town over the past month or so. i have been very busy getting everything in order for the opening reception of my 3rd solo art show at Cella Gallery in North Hollywood this past saturday.  the show was titled "strange obsessions" and featured a new collection of large-scale mono prints as well as a selection of collage art, art prints, and even some of my daily drawings.  take a look at some pics from the event that my good friend walter took and sent over, and be sure to stop by the gallery if you are in the area!  the show will run thru october 13th...

New Works...

i finally got around to photographing some of the new pieces i have been working on... these are 9"x 14" collages made from the torn up test prints and drawings from my print shop. these will be on display at my next art show here in LA with Cella Gallery, more details on that soon....

STRRRIKE TWO Art Show...

i recently made these three new collage pieces for another upcoming art show that i am in. the RRR Project (an international collection of artists committed to making new art from the scraps of their old projects) is about to release its second printed book, and there will be an art show in honor of the new book in New York City featuring new work by many of the artists involved. check out the pics of my pieces and if you are in the NYC area be sure to make your way out to the show! more info below.....

these are 11" x 14" matted collage pieces in 16" x 20" frames, and they were made from original scraps of drawings and screen print test sheets from my studio.

Video Violence Art Show....

i was asked to contribute to a rad group show going down in philly this weekend in celebration of cult horror films on the VHS format. "Video Violence" will take place during the annual "Exhumed 24 hour Horror-Thon" film festival this Halloween, and for one night only artists from across the country will transform the lobby of the theatre into a video store of defaced cult horror films. needless to say, i am very disappointed that i won't be able to witness this event first hand, but if you live in the area you should check it out! here is what i submitted for the show... this is a collage of screen printed scraps from my print shop, ink, watercolor, and acrylic paint.

RRR - a group show opening this weekend!

a good friend is throwing a huge group show titled "RRR" at The Surf Gallery in Laguna Beach and the opening reception is this Saturday night! the theme for the show is "reduce, reuse, recycle your art", and it will litterally be a show comprised of the scraps from some pretty amazing artists. the three pics below are of the collage pieces i will be showing. they are a mix of screen printed test prints from my artwork and original pencil, ink, and watercolor works.

this final collage was made at the same time as the three above, but will be going to a private auction to benefit Shelly's cancer therapy.
